Case Western Reserve University first-year diver Ryan Wells was named the University Athletic Association Men's Diving Athlete of the Week after his performance on Saturday.
Wells won both diving events for the 11th-ranked Spartans in a dual meet with sixth-ranked Carnegie Mellon at the Veale Natatorium in Cleveland on Saturday. In the 1-meter dive, Wells scored 267.80, and in the 3-meter dive, he recorded a score of 253.30. The Spartans lost to the Tartans 159-135 and dropped to 3-1 in dual meets this year.
This marked his first career UAA Athlete of the Week honor and the first for a diver on the CWRU men's swimming and diving team since Nico Billoni on February 24, 2025.
CWRU will host Division II Gannon University on Saturday, November 8 starting at 1 p.m.
