Wachtman became the first member of the Spartan women's track and field team to earn All-America honors in the javelin throw on Thursday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Wachtman placed seventh in the event with a toss of 42.04 meters on her first attempt. Earlier this season, Wachtman set the program record in the javelin throw, heaving the implement 44.09 meters to win the University Athletic Association Championship. She is the first All-American at an outdoor championship for the Spartan track and field program since Cassandra Laois received two honors in 2019. Case Western Reserve tied for 75th in the team standings with 2.0 points.
