Demetris played a key role in the 12th-ranked Spartans' 9-8 win over John Carroll University on Sunday afternoon. Demetris finished the game two-for-four with two runs scored and two runs batted in. With the score tied at four in the bottom of the sixth, he connected for the first home run of his career, an opposite-field blast over the wall in right-center to give the Spartans the lead. He added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth with a run-scoring single. Demetris raised his batting average to .385 for the season following the performance. With the win, CWRU set a program record for wins during the regular season with a 31-9 overall mark.
