Perez won the 100-meter dash at the 2024 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday at Gesling Stadium in Pittsburgh, the first time a Spartan has won the event since 1989. Perez finished the final of the race in 10.87 seconds after recording a time of 10.93 seconds in the prelims. In addition, he was a member of the school-record setting 4x100-meter relay that placed second in a time of 41.25 seconds. The All-UAA honors are the fifth and sixth of his career and his second and third in the outdoor season. Overall, Case Western Reserve placed fifth out of seven schools competing with 74.0 points.
