Trunley led the sixth-ranked Spartans to a pair of NCAA Tournament wins over the weekend, coming off the bench to average a team-high 22.0 points per game during the team's first and second round games. He finished the weekend shooting 18-of-32 overall (56.3%) and eight-of-17 (47.1%) from long range while adding 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. During the team's 66-51 win over Mary Baldwin in the first round on Friday, Trunley shot six-of-12 overall and three-of-seven from three-point range with seven rebounds and an assist. He followed that with a 29-point outburst off the bench, making 12-of-20 shots overall and five-of-10 three-point attempts with four rebounds and three assists in a 97-79 win over 22nd-ranked Hope. Trunley is averaging 13.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season. The Spartans improved to 23-4 with the two wins and reached the Round of 16 for the second time in the program's history.
