Trunley averaged 28.0 points per game, matched a school record for three-pointers made in a game, and led the second-ranked Spartans to a pair of road University Athletic Association wins last weekend. Trunley came off the bench to lead the team in scoring in both games, shooting 51.7% (15-of-29) overall including 55.0% (11-of-20) from three-point range and 83.3% (15-of-18) from the free throw line. He added 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game over the two contests. During the team's 90-86 win at 22nd-ranked Emory on Friday night, Trunley scored 33 points (the most in a UAA game this year and the seventh-most in a game in program history), making a program-record-matching eight three-point shots on 13 attempts (61.5%), shooting nine-of-16 (56.3%) overall and seven-of-10 from the three throw line, and adding three rebounds, four assists, and a career-high matching three steals. He added a 23-point showing in a 75-73 win at Rochester on Sunday, making six-of-13 (46.2%) shots from the floor, including three-of-seven (42.9%) from behind the three-point line, and eight-of-eight from the free throw line, while adding four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Trunley is averaging 13.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game this season. The Spartans, who have now won four straight games, improved to 15-1 overall on the season and are in sole possession of first place in the UAA standings.
