Valerino helped the Spartans secure a 32-15 win over Heidelberg University on Friday night at the Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin, Ohio. Valerino helped the Spartans open a 12-0 lead over the Student Princes with a pin at 133 pounds. He defeated David Gelman in 4:37, the quickest pin of the night for CWRU. This season Valerino has a record of 10-6 with eight pins and one technical fall, competing exclusively at 133 pounds. Case Western Reserve improved to 1-0 with the dual win, the first in the career of Head Coach David Shapiro.
