Ozeki won the triple jump at the team's season-opening meet, the 10th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic, on Saturday at the Veale Center in Cleveland. Ozeki bounded 11.07 meters to claim the event, the second-best mark in the conference and 18th-best mark in Division III. She added a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a finals time of 9.69 seconds. Three members of the CWRU women's team, including Ozeki, won events at the meet.
