Salmon scored two goals in as many matches this weekend, including a game-winning goal, to lead CWRU to two wins to start the 2023 season. In the team's season-opening victory over Otterbein on the road on Friday evening, Salmon scored in the 17th minute to give the team an early lead. His goal was the only score of the contest in a 1-0 win. On Sunday at DiSanto Field, Salmon scored Case Western Reserve's third goal of the match in the 49th minute in a 4-1 win over Wooster. The Spartans finished the first weekend of the season with an overall record of 2-0-0.
