Kahl surpassed 1,000 points for his career while helping the ninth-ranked Spartans to a pair of wins last week. Kahl averaged a team-high 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game during the two contests. He shot 73.9% (17-of-23) from the floor, including 55.6% (5-of-9) on three-point attempts, and made 71.4% (5-of-9) of his free throw tries. Kahl scored a season-high 26 points to lead all players in a 100-73 win over Kalamazoo on Saturday, making 10-of-13 shots overall and three-of-six three-point tries, while also pacing the squad with eight rebounds, five assists, and two blocks, and reaching the 1,000-career point mark during the second half of the game. Earlier in the week, in a 94-87 win over previously unbeaten Capital, he scored 18 points on a seven-of-10 shooting effort (including two-of-three on three-point attempts) with eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. Kahl is second among all CWRU players this year with 16.5 points per game, while shooting 63.2% from the floor and 40.0% from three-point range and adding 7.3 rebounds. The Spartans improved to 6-0 on the season with the two wins.
