Characklis recorded a pair of 20-point efforts for the Spartans last week, including a career-high 22 points during the team's win over Allegheny College on Sunday. Characklis averaged 21.5 points per game over the two contests, shooting 62.1% (18-29) from the floor and was a perfect seven-for-seven from the free throw line. She added 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 0.5 steals per game during the week. In an 81-66 loss at John Carroll on Tuesday, Characklis matched her previous career high with 21 points, shooting nine-of-15 with eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. She followed that with the 22-point output in a 73-55 win over Allegheny, shooting nine-of-14 with a rebound, a block, and a steal. Characklis leads all CWRU players this year with 14.7 points per game and a 57.6% field goal percentage while adding 6.5 rebounds. The Spartans stand at 3-3 for the campaign.
