James Hopper and Vishwa Aduru won all six of their doubles matches together to help lead the Spartans to their first-ever NCAA Division III Team Championship and later claim the NCAA Division III Doubles Title at the individual championships. The duo played in the no. 1 position for the Spartans in the semifinals and championship match of the team tournament, winning each match. They then went on to go 4-0 in the doubles tournament, clinching the NCAA Division III Championship with a 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (5) win against Michael Melnikov and Utham Koduri of Swarthmore. The two also each went 4-1 in singles play during the week, with Aduru providing the clinching point in the Spartans' semifinal win against Middlebury, and Hopper providing the NCAA Championship clinching victory against Tufts. Aduru reached the semifinals of the singles draw, while Hopper made it to the quarterfinals. The two finished the season with a 31-2 record together, with their only two doubles losses coming against Division I competition at the ITA Fall Nationals.
