Tompkins was the team's top finisher at the Pre-Nationals Meet in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Saturday morning. Competing in the first 6K race of her collegiate career, Tompkins crossed the finish line in a time of 22:30.9 to lead all CWRU competitors for the second time in as many meets this season. Her mark was good for an 11th-place finish out of 105 total runners in the event and helped CWRU to place third out of 11 teams on Saturday.
