Burkhauser placed first among Division III competitors in two throwing events at the 55th Annual Sparky Adams Invite hosted by Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, on Saturday. Burkhauser's best performance came in the discus throw, when she hurled disc 43.95 meters. Her mark is the best in the conference this season, second best in the Great Lakes Region, and 21st in the country. She placed fourth overall and first among D3 throwers in the shot put, pushing the ball 12.76 meters at the meet, which would rank third in the conference this season. Finally, in the hammer throw, Burkhauser placed seventh (fourth among Division III competitors) with a toss of 48.86 meters. Overall, the CWRU women's team placed third out of 12 with 111.0 points.
