Hosey tossed the fourth no-hitter in program history and the second of her career in a 5-0 win over New York University on Saturday at Mather Park in Cleveland. Hosey threw just 69 pitches in the outing, 48 for strikes, faced the minimum 21 batters and struck out five in seven innings. The only baserunner she allowed reached on an error, which was erased on a double play. Hosey finished the game by retiring the final 16 batters she faced, including three by strikeout, and only had one three-ball count in the entire contest. She previously no-hit John Carroll on March 23, 2022, in five innings, the last no-no in program history. The no-hitter was the first of the season by a University Athletic Association pitcher this season and the first in UAA play since April 13, 2024. The complete game shutout was the first this season for a CWRU hurler and the fourth of Hosey's career. She improved to 7-5 with a 3.59 earned run average overall and 2-1 with a 3.11 ERA in conference play. CWRU, who swept the Violets in a three-game series, improved to 19-8 on the season and 6-3 in UAA contests.
