Case Western Reserve University senior Madeline Lindemann concluded her career as a Spartan on Saturday with a 87th place finish at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday morning.
Lindemann completed the 6K course in a time of 22:47.9. Her 87th-place finish out of 280 runners marked an 11-spot improvement on her finish at last year's national meet.
The meet wraps-up Lindemann's spectacular career for the Spartans, as she finished her time at CWRU as a two-time all-region honoree, and two-time all-UAA finisher, and a two-time NCAA qualifier.
Ithaca sophomore Parley Hannan won the women's race with a time of 20:53.8. Johns Hopkins won the women's team championship with an aggregate team score of 125, following by Washington University in second place with a score of 138 and Williams in third place with 168 points.
The meet officially wraps up the 2019 season for Case Western Reserve.
