    HOUSTON, Texas – Former Case Western Reserve University cross country and track & field All-American and 2008 NCAA Division III National Champion Esther Erb placed 27th at the United States Olympic Trials Marathon on Saturday. Erb also performed the national anthem prior to the event, which will be televised on NBC at 3:00 p.m. (EST).

And much like her days as a Spartan, Erb will look to please the crowd with both her running and singing skills, as she will have the honor of performing the national anthem.

Within the UAA, All-Academic Recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300.
