The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team fell to the College of Wooster 3-2 (22-25, 28-26, 17-25, 25-16 and 20-18) on Saturday afternoon at the Timken Gymnasium in Wooster, Ohio.
With the loss, CWRU dropped to 17-12 overall on the season, while the Fighting Scots improved to 14-11 on the campaign.
Statistically, junior outside hitter Karley King led the attack with 23 kills. Freshman outside hitter Lauren Carmon contributed 11 kills and 11 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Katie Kaminski added nine kills. Junior setter Faith Ellis and sophomore setter Jordyn Harberts set up the Spartan offense, registering 32 and 19 assists, respectively.
Defensively, sophomore libero Anna Jaskoviak tallied a team-high 29 digs, while senior defensive specialist Karina Bondelid contributed 20 throughout the match. Junior middle hitter Samantha Rodriguez totaled a Spartan-best five block assists.
The Spartans will conclude their season at the 2018 University Athletic Association Championships in Rochester, New York. The team will begin competition on Friday, November 2nd.
