Case Western Reserve University sophomore middle blocker Katie Kaminski was named University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week, after leading the Spartans to wins on Saturday, hitting .676 during the stretch.
Kaminski finished the two games with 26 kills in 37 total attacks, and led all Case Western Reserve players with a .676 hitting percentage. She registered her highest hitting percentage of the season in a 3-0 win over Allegheny College as she tallied eight kills and no errors on 10 total attacks for a .800 hitting percentage. Kaminski then tallied a season-high 18 kills on 27 total attack for a .630 hitting percentage in the Spartans' 3-1 victory over Ohio Wesleyan.
For the season, she leads the squad with a .361 hitting percentage. In addition, Kaminski's .361 hitting percentage ranks fourth among University Athletic Association players. This was the conference Athlete of the Week award of her career.
Case Western Reserve will look to continue their win streak when they welcome Hiram College to Horsburgh Gymnasium on Wednesday, October 24th. The match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.
