The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team will travel to Berea, Ohio to face the Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, September 19th for a mid-week matchup. The match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.

CWRU Spartans (8-3)
The Spartans completed a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge. On Friday, CWRU defeated Capital University with scores of 25-20, 25-12 and 25-18. The Spartans came back on Saturday to open the day with a 23-25, 25-21, 27-25 and 25-16 win over Geneva College, and followed that up with a 25-17, 25-9 and 25-11 victory over Buffalo State to close out the tournament.
Sophomore libero Anna Jaskoviak was named the Spartans representative for the All-Tournament Team as she led the squad with 50 digs throughout the three games. Junior middle hitter Haley Sims also played a significant role as well, recording a .316 hitting percentage for the weekend. She notched 27 kills (2.70 per set) and 12 total blocks.
Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (14-1)
The Yellow Jackets also completed a perfect weekend, as they went 4-0 at the Golden Flyer Invitational, hosted by Nazareth (N.Y.) College. BW earned wins against Nazareth and Keuka on Friday, and concluded the tournament with wins against St. John Fisher and Medaille on Saturday. In addition, the Yellow Jackets defeated Penn State Behrend in straight sets on Monday.
Senior Alicia Lortcher currently leads the Yellow Jackets with 100 kills (2.38 per set) and has also tallied 115 digs for the season. The BW offense has been set up this season by senior Ashley Nuding, as she has totaled 272 assists (6.18 per set). Defensively, the Yellow Jackets' are led by sophomore Sarah Reinhard with 210 digs (5.12 per set.
Sophomore Anna Jaskoviak currently ranks third in the University Athletic Association with 4.97 digs per set and ranks fourth with 189 digs…Junior Haley Sims ranks fourth in the UAA with an average of 1.19 blocks per set, while sophomore Katie Kaminski ranks fifth in the UAA with a .368 hitting percentage…Last season, the Spartans dropped a 3-1 decision to Baldwin Wallace…Brianna Lemon led the team with 16 kills…CWRU is averaging 13.39 kills per set, 12.63 assists per set and 2.11 blocks per set this season.
