The Case Western Reserve volleyball team will welcome Baldwin Wallace University to Horsburgh Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 20th for a mid-week matchup. The match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.

CWRU Spartans (8-3)
The Spartans completed a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge. On Friday, CWRU defeated St. Lawrence University with scores of 25-17, 18-25, 25-20 and 25-17. The Spartans came back on Saturday to open the day with a 25-17, 25-23 and 25-21 win over Fredonia, and followed that up with a 25-17, 25-14, 18-25 and 25-18 victory over Buffalo State to close out the tournament.
Sophomore outside hitter Brianna Lemon recorded a team-high 35 kills (3.50 per set) and 24 digs (2.40 per set) during the three matches. Sophomore middle hitter Haley Sims also played a significant role as well, recording a .299 hitting percentage for the weekend. She notched 25 kills (2.50 per set) and six total blocks.
Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (12-0)
The Yellow Jackets also completed a perfect weekend, as they went 4-0 at the Hartwick College Invitational. BW earned wins against Nazareth College and Plattsburgh State on Friday, and concluded the tournament with wins against Lycoming College and Oneonta State on Saturday.
Junior Alicia Lortcher currently leads the Yellow Jackets with 145 kills (4.26 per set) and has also tallied 130 digs for the season. The BW offense has been set up this season by freshman Kathleen Egan, as she has totaled 343 assists (9.80 per set). Defensively, the Yellow Jackets' are led by freshman Jasmine Hromada with 169 digs (4.57 per set). BW will play against Penn State Behrend on Monday, before traveling to Cleveland to face the Spartans on Wednesday.
Head Coach Karen Farrell will enter Wednesday's match just seven wins shy of 400 for her career...Sophomore Brianna Lemon currently ranks third in the University Athletic Association with 3.39 kills per set, while sophomore Haley Sims ranks third in the UAA with a .350 hitting percentage…Sophomore Faith Ellis ranks third in the UAA with an average of 7.05 assists per set…Last season, the Spartans dropped a 3-0 decision to Baldwin Wallace…Karina Bondelid led the team with 12 digs…The Spartans are averaging 12.61 kills per set, 11.84 assists per set and 1.51 blocks per set this season.
