The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team will travel to Buffalo, New York for the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge on Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th.
The Spartans are slated to play St. Lawrence College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night. On Saturday, CWRU will face Fredonia State University at 1:00 p.m. and host Buffalo State at 3:00 p.m. to conclude the Bengal Challenge.

CWRU Spartans (5-3)
The Spartans saw its four match winning streak come to a close on Wednesday night with a 3-0 loss (25-21, 26-24, 25-20) to the University of Mount Union.
Sophomore Brianna Lemon paced the squad with nine kills, with freshman Anna Jaskoviak and sophomore Karley King and Haley Sims each chipping in with eight kills apiece. Sophomore setter Faith Ellis added 23 assists in the match, and Lemon had a Spartan-best 10 digs in the match.
St. Lawrence Saints (8-1)
The Saints will enter Friday's match coming off of a 3-0 victory against SUNY Plattsburgh on Tuesday evening. Amanda Teppo and Julia Wagner recorded a team-high 12 kills. Setter Katie Kull led the Saints with 41 assists, while Masha Kolesnikova added 16 digs.
For the season, St. Lawrence has averaged 13.2 kills per set, 12.1 assists per set and 2.0 blocks per set. Kolesnikova leads the saints with 83 kills, while Grace Kelly is close behind with 82. Kull sets up the offense as she has tallied 309 assists for the season. Defensively, Kolesnikova has totaled 100 digs, while Ally Good has contributed 87 to the team total.
Fredonia Blue Devils (4-4)
The Blue Devils have averaged 11.2 kills per set, 10.9 assists per set and 1.2 blocks per set this season. Kristen Stanek currently leads Fredonia with 126 kills and Hallie Christopher has set up the Blue Devils offense with 231 assists. Defensively, Courtney Poirier has a recorded a team-high 137 digs, while Selena has registered 18 total blocks.
Fredonia will open the Bengal Challenge against John Carroll University on Friday, before facing the Spartans on Saturday.
Buffalo State Bengals (3-6)
The host school will enter the tournament on Friday following a 3-1 victory over Houghton College on Tuesday evening. The Bengals were led by Lauren Hansen, who recorded a season-best 19 kills throughout the match. For the season, Buffalo State has averaged 8.6 kills per set, 8.2 assists per set and 1.4 blocks per set.
The Bengals will face the University of Rochester on Friday night, and then take on St. Lawrence College before closing out the tournament against the Spartans.
Sophomore Brianna Lemon currently ranks third in the University Athletic Association with 3.35 kills per set…Sophomore Faith Ellis ranks second in the UAA with 7.96 assists per set, while sophomore Haley Sims ranks third with a .373 hitting percentage...Freshman Jana Giaquinto ranks tied for third in the UAA with 0.50 service aces per set…The Spartans are averaging 13.00 kills per set, 12.41 assists per set and 1.63 blocks per set.
