The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team will be traveling to Waltham, Massachusetts for the 2016 University Athletic Association Round Robin #2, hosted by Brandeis University, on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th.
The Spartans are set to play 16th-ranked Washington (Mo.) University at 12:30 p.m. and Brandeis University at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, CWRU will face 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University at 11:30 a.m. and then the University of Chicago at 1:00 p.m. to conclude the second University Athletic Association Round Robin hosted by Brandeis University.

CWRU Spartans (14-5, 1-2 UAA)
The Spartans are eager to return to the court after a close-played 3-2 win over Hiram College on Wednesday night. Led by freshman outside hitter Brianna Lemon and senior outside hitter Marian Barton, who average 3.35 and 2.40 kills per set, respectively. Freshman middle hitter Haley Sims also contributes to the attack averaging 2.06 kills per set. Setting for the Spartans is sophomore Shannon Carroll, who records 8.75 assists per set for the Spartan offense. Sophomore libero Karina Bondelid tallies 4.30 digs per set, while Carroll records 2.58 a set and sophomore defensive specialist Emily Wolfenbarger adds 2.43 digs per set.
The Spartans are guided by Head Coach Karen Farrell in her 15th season at CWRU along with Associate Head Coach Nelson Wittenmyer. She is also assisted by Jeff Harrah, Kim Waters, Katie Best and Dani Witri.
#16 Washington Bears (12-7, 2-1 UAA)
Senior middle hitter Caroline Dupont averages 2.59 kills per set and sophomore outside hitter Ifeoma Ufondu adds 2.36 kills per set. Freshman setter Chloe Stile leads the Bears in assists, averaging 8.82 per set. Defensively, sophomore libero Natalie Stephanus picks up 3.94 digs per set.
The Bears are under the leadership of Vanessa Walby in her third season and she is assisted by Ashlee Rust, Anna Hunter, Allison Zastrow and Nkiru Udenze.
Brandeis Judges (7-10, 0-3 UAA)
The Judges are led by freshman middle hitter Emma Bartlett. Bartlett averages 2.35 kills and 0.54 digs per set. Sophomore setter Marlee Nork averages 4.67 assists per game. In the back row, sophomore libero Yvette Cho is tallying 4.45 digs per game.
The Judges are coached by Alesia Vaccari in her third season and she is assisted by Patrick Robidoux and Lauren Yung.
#19 Carnegie Mellon Tartans (16-4, 1-2 UAA)
Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Mueller and senior middle blocker Jackie Gibbons average 2.56 and 2.33 kills per set, respectively. Setting for the Tartans, senior Emily Newton is averaging a team-high 9.42 assists per set. Senior libero Molly Higgins and Mueller serve as the top players in back row averaging 5.24 and 3.03 digs, respectively.
The Tartans are under the leadership of Kim Kelly in her 12th season. Kelly is assisted by Lauren London-Law and Anne Bock.
Chicago Maroons (11-7, 3-0 UAA)
The Maroons are led by senior right side hitter Sarah Muisenga who averages 3.49 kills per set as well as 3.52 digs per set. Sophomore outside hitter Audrey Scrafford also contributes to the attack with 3.14 kills per set. Senior Erin Risk serves as the main setter for the Maroons averaging 9.84 assists per set. In the back row, senior libero Mary Claire Tuohy averages a team-high 4.85 digs per game.
Chicago is coached by Sharon Dingman in her third season and she is assisted by Jacqui Nielson and Thom Guzi.
