Spartans Swept at Baldwin Wallace

The Case Western Reserve University women's volleyball team saw its four-match win streak snapped in a 3-0 loss at Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday at Ursprung Gymnasium.

The Spartans, now 12-2, fell by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-20 as the Yellow Jackets improved to 14-1.

In a match where the Spartans were limited to 21 kills, senior outside hitter Marian Barton posted the top total with eight. Sophomore setter Shannon Carroll tallied 17 assists.

Defensively, sophomore libero Karina Bondelid recorded a team-high 12 digs.

BW was led by Nikolette Scruggs and Alicia Lortcher with 11 kills each.

The Spartans are back in action this weekend as they play host to Heidelberg University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Horsburgh Gymnasium.
