The No. 24 Case Western Reserve University volleyball team earned its 13th 3-0 win of the 2015 season with a win over Oberlin College on Wednesday night in Horsburgh Gymnasium.
The Spartans improve to 17-2 overall, while the Yeowomen fall to 6-10 for the campaign.
CWRU was led by junior outside hitter Marian Barton who tallied nine kills. Senior outside hitter Carolyn Bogart contributed eight kills and three service aces and senior middle hitter Haley Kauffman added six. Freshman setter Shannon Carroll rounded up 12 assists, while senior setter Robyn Marks added nine. In the back of the court for the Spartans, freshman Andrea Lu led CWRU with 13 digs, senior libero Katie Best tallied 12 and Bogart contributed 11 through the match.
At the net, junior middle hitter Kayla Pfaff recorded three total blocks for the Spartans with Kauffman and Bogart each adding two to the tally.
The Spartans will now travel to Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, October 10 for the Heidelberg Tri-Match where they will play a doubleheader beginning with a 3:00 p.m. match against Muskingum.
