Case Western Reserve University sophomore Cassandra Laios was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's field for the second-straight week, following her performance at the Gator Invitational at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania last Friday.
Laios was the team's top finisher in a pair of throwing events. She finished seventh in the shot put with a mark of 11.21 meters, and later added a seventh-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 37.61 meters.
This was the second-straight UAA Athlete of the Week honor for Laios, and the second of her career.
