Spartan Women's Track & Field Places Second at Mid-January Meet

BEREA, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve women's track & field team won two individual events en route to a second-place finish at Baldwin Wallace University's Mid-January Meet on Friday evening at the Harrison Dillard Track. 

Sophomore Christen Saccucci (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) won the pole vault competition by clearing the bar at 10 feet. 

Junior Keri Walter (Cairo, Egypt/Cairo American) was also an individual champion as she won the triple jump with a mark of 34'0.25".

The Spartans next compete on Saturday, February 1 when they take on University Athletic Association rival Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.) in the Battle for the Obelisk at 3:00 p.m. at the Veale Center.
