  • Steve Rubin Steps Down as Head Coach of Spartan Track & Field

    CLEVELAND, Ohio – Steve Rubin has announced his resignation as the head coach of Case Western Reserve University men’s and women's track & field. Rubin, who led the program for five seasons, has accepted the position of assistant coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    CLAREMONT, Calif. – Senior Erin Hollinger (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) concluded her storied two-sport career at Case Western Reserve University with a fourth career All-American performance in the high jump via a fourth-place finish on day two of the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Fritz B. Burns Stadium on the campus of Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges. Hollinger also finished 16th in the heptathlon.

    MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Case Western Reserve University women's track & field team sent select student-athletes to take part in the Sixth Annual Gator Invitational on Friday, May 11. The meet was hosted by Allegheny College on Frank B. Fuhrer Field at the Robertson Complex and featured over 50 teams primarily from Division III trying to better national marks in their respective events.

    PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Sixty-two Case Western Reserve University student-athletes spanning six athletic teams were named to the 2011-12 University Athletic Association Spring All-Academic team. Within the UAA, All-Academic Recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300.
