Three members of the Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team have been ranked in the final Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III rankings, released by the organization last week.
The CWRU women's tennis team was able to compile a 5-4 overall record in 2019-20, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Spartans were 25th in the last Division III team rankings, released on March 13.
Junior Madeleine Paolucci, who played at first singles throughout the season for CWRU, currently ranks tied for 10th in school history in singles victories with a 43-27 record. She was ranked ninth in Division III and second in the Central Region. Paolucci went 8-8 in singles play throughout the year. First-year and No. 2 singles players Savannah Bright, who was 6-9 on the year, was ranked 20th in the Central Region singles rankings, while first-year Shreya Ramani was ranked 24th in the region.
In the doubles rankings, Paolucci and Bright checked in at 25th in the final Division III rankings, and were the seventh-ranked duo in the Central Region. The pairing finished the year with 9-4 record together.
