CWRU Women’s Tennis Opens Season at Oberlin Invitational

The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team kicked off its 2019 fall season this weekend at the Oberlin Invitational in Oberlin, Ohio.

Leading the way for the Spartans at the tournament was junior Trisha Sundaram, who went 3-0 in singles play during the weekend, while sophomore Shreyaa Mukund posted a 3-1 singles record.

In addition, junior Mira Amin, junior Nicole Cardwell, sophomore Eliza Georgiades, sophomore Nidhi Jha and freshman Shreya Ramani each posted 2-1 records in singles action during the tournament.

CWRU players combined to go 12-5 in doubles action as well, with all 12 players securing at least one win. Junior Madeleine Paolucci and freshman Savannah Bright went 3-0 together in doubles matches, while Amin and Mukund teamed together to post a 2-0 record throughout the weekend.

The Spartans will be back in action this weekend from Saturday, September 14th through Sunday, September 15th when the team travels to Gambier, Ohio for the Kenyon Invite, hosted by Kenyon College.
