  • Announcing 'Spartan Stories': Daily Features on CWRU Athletes, Teams & Alumni

    While athletics at Case Western Reserve University might be on hold for the time being, athletics.case.edu will be providing a new way for Spartan fans to follow the program. For the remainder of the spring and into the summer, the official website of Spartan Athletics will be providing ‘Spartan Stories,’ a series daily features on teams, athletes and alumni to allow fans to keep up with their favorite teams.
  • CWRU Athletics Cancels Remainder of 2020 Spring Varsity Season

    The health, safety and well-being of our student athletes, coaches, staff and community is our top priority. Due to the rapidly changing circumstances related to the CoVid-19 pandemic, Case Western Reserve University Department of Physical Education and Athletics has announced the cancellation of the remainder of the 2020 spring varsity athletics season beginning on Saturday, March 14th.

  • CWRU Women’s Tennis Cancels Spring Break Trip to California

    On Thursday afternoon, Case Western Reserve University announced restrictions for university-related domestic travel to cities or counties where government leaders have declared a health emergency or the CDC has declared high risk due to the Coronavirus outbreak. As a result, the CWRU women’s tennis team will no longer travel to California over spring break, and has cancelled all matches during the trip.

    The 29th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women’s tennis team earned its fifth victory of the 2020 season, defeating the University of Rochester (N.Y.), 6-3, at the Cleveland Skating Club on Sunday afternoon.

    The Case Western Reserve University women’s tennis team, ranked 29th in Division III, will return to action with three home matches this weekend. The Spartans will take on Indiana University of Pennsylvania at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29th, and then will face the University of Rochester (N.Y.) at 11:00 a.m. and Wittenberg College at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st. All matches will be played at the Cleveland Skating Club.
