Case Western Reserve University sophomore Madeleine Paolucci was selected to the All-University Athletic Association Women's Tennis First Team at first singles, while also being named to the All-UAA Second Team with sophomore Nicole Cardwell for their play at No. 1 doubles during the season. In addition, sophomore Mira Amin earned honorable mention honors at third singles.
The three total All-UAA selections marks only the fifth time that the team has had multiple all-conference honorees in a season.
Paolucci was ranked fourth in singles play in the latest ITA Central Region poll. Playing at first singles throughout the season, she went 18-7 during the campaign, raising her career record to 34-18. It was the second career All-UAA honor for Paolucci.
In doubles action, Paolucci and Cardwell went 10-7 together, all in first doubles matches. The duo is ranked fifth in the Central Region, and is coming off of a 1-2 record at the conference championships in April. This was the second career All-UAA honor for Cardwell.
Amin claimed her first career All-UAA honor, after posting a 12-10 overall record and a 5-3 record at third singles. For her career, she has posted a 30-19 singles record.
Case Western Reserve ended its regular season with an overall record of 8-11. Paolucci will no prepare for the NCAA Division III Championships, after being selected to compete as an individual earlier this week. The draw for individual championships, along with seeding, will be released on May 22nd, the last day of the team championships.
