Case Western Reserve University sophomore Madeleine Paolucci was selected to compete at the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Individual Championships from May 23rd-25th at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Paolucci was among the 32 players selected to compete in the singles draw. The draw for individual championships, along with seeding, will be released on May 22nd, the last day of the team championships.
Paolucci was ranked fourth in singles play in the latest ITA Central Region poll. Playing at first singles throughout the season, she went 18-7 during the campaign, moving her career record to 34-18.
This is the second-straight season that Paolucci has been selected to the NCAA Championships, after earning All-America honors in doubles play with former Spartan Nithya Kanagasegar at the 2018 NCAA Division III Individual Championships following a quarterfinals berth.
The selection of individuals for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule, and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.
