Women’s Tennis to Compete at ITA Regionals

ITA Fall Regional Draws: Singles & Doubles

The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team will be participating in the ITA Fall Central Region Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan this weekend.

The Spartans will have four doubles teams and seven singles players competing at the ITA Fall Central Region Championships this weekend. The duo of senior Jessica Liu and sophomore Madeleine Paolucci are seeded third in the 64-team doubles draw, and will open play on Friday against Kalamazoo's Ella Knight and Maya Srkalovic. Freshmen Shreyaa Mukund and Sneha Karnam are seeded ninth and will open play against Ohio Wesleyan's Alejandra Coronel and Sydney Simmons. Other doubles pairings in action during the weekend for the Spartans include freshmen Eliza Georgiades and Kristin Jones, and sophomore Mira Amin and freshman Nidhi Jha.

Paolucci and Liu are the Spartans top-seeded players in the main 64-player singles draw, bot checking in at nine to open the tournament. Amin, Jha, Mukund, Karnam and Georgiades will all be competing as unseeded players.

Action at the ITA Regionals is slated to begin on Friday, with the first two rounds of singles and doubles play scheduled to be held during the first day of competition.

Results and a recap of the CWRU performances during the tournament will be posted to athletics.case.edu following the completion of competition.
