The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team, ranked 16th in Division III, will travel to North Canton, Ohio to face Division II opponent Walsh University at the North Canton Racquet Club (Indoor) or the Klekotka Tennis Complex (Outdoor) on Thursday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m.
The Spartans stand at 12-3 on the season, following an 8-1 win over Oberlin College on Saturday. Case Western Reserve is 4-0 in away matches this year.
As a team, the Spartans have a .687 winning percentage (103-47) in singles play this year, including a .742 mark (66-23) during the spring. In doubles play, the team has a .694 overall winning percentage (59-26), with a .800 mark in spring matches (36-9).
Freshman Mira Amin leads the team with a 17-6 singles record, including an 8-1 mark in third-singles matches, while senior Peyton Young has gone 16-5 in singles play. Senior Nithya Kanagasegar has added an 18-8 overall record in doubles matches, all of which were at first doubles.
Walsh, a Division II program, is 10-7 overall this season, including a 5-3 home record. The Cavaliers have currently won their last six matches, including a 9-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday and a 9-0 win over Cedarville on Saturday.
