The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team, ranked 16th in Division III, will be back in action this weekend when the team travels to Oberlin, Ohio to face Oberlin College on Saturday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m.
The Spartans currently stand at 11-3 overall on the season, including a 3-0 record in road matches.
Case Western Reserve was ranked 16th in the nation and third in the Central Region, in the latest poll released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association last Thursday. The ITA also released the first updated regional individual rankings of the spring season last Thursday, with senior Nithya Kanagasegar checking in at fourth in the region, and freshman Madeleine Paolucci 22nd. In doubles, the duo of Kanagasegar and Paolucci are ranked fifth.
Oberlin is 10-6 on the season, including a 6-2 home record, and is currently ranked 11th in the Central Region. They will play at the College of Wooster on Friday, before hosting the Spartans on Saturday afternoon. The team's lineup features Sarah Hughes, who is the 19th-ranked singles player in the region. The Spartans and Yeowomen met last season, with the Spartans coming away with a 6-3 victory.
