No. 25 Spartan Women Lose At No. 15 Sewanee

SEWANNE, Tenn. – The No. 25 nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team dropped its weekend finale against No. 15 Sewanee University by a 6-3 tally at the Bruton-Guerry Tennis Center.

The host Tigers won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, but the pairing of freshman Sarah Berchuck (Dallas, Texas/Baylor School & Suffield Academy) and sophomore Surya Khadilkar (Broadview Heights, Ohio/Hawken School) scored an 8-4 victory over Kate Johnston and Elske Parker at No. 2.

In singles, Berchuck concluded a perfect day with a 6-2, 6-1 versus Johnston at No. 5, and sophomore Lauren Rovner (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee) won in a grueling 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 match at No. 6.

The Spartans return to action at home on March 1 when they host Allegheny College at 12:30 p.m at the Cleveland Skating Club.
