Spartan Women's Tennis Bounced 6-1 by Brandeis in Round Two of UAA Championship

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team was defeated, 6-1, by Brandeis University (MA) in the second round of the 2011 University Athletic Association Championship on Saturday, April 23.

Case will now play eighth-seeded New York University at 4:00 p.m. in the seventh-place match at the Sunset Tennis Center.

Sophomores Erika Lim (Fullerton, CA/Fullerton Union) and Emily Pham (Mason, OH/William Mason) picked up an 8-2 win at first singles to clinch Case's only point of the match.

Freshman Bianca Patel (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) was also leading her match at fourth singles 6-4, 1-1 when the match was decided.
