The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams will travel to the Ratner Athletics Center in Chicago, Illinois for the 2020 University Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Chicago from Wednesday, February 12th-Saturday, February 15th.

The meet will kick off on Wednesday with preliminaries of the women's one-meter dive at 1:45 p.m. ET, with the finals of the event to follow at 6:30 p.m. ET. Swimming events will begin on Thursday and run through Saturday, with preliminaries beginning daily at 11:00 a.m. ET and finals at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The top-24 swimmers from the morning preliminaries will advance to 'A,' 'B,' and 'C' heats of the finals (of eight swimmers each) in the evening, with the top-three finishers in the finals earning All-UAA recognition. Each school has an opportunity to score with an 'A' team and a 'B' team in each relay, while for the diving, the top-eight finishers in the afternoon preliminaries will advance to the finals at night.

As is usually the case, the field at the UAA Championships features some of the top teams in the country. Competing at the meet on the men's side, in addition to the 20th-ranked Spartan, will be fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University, sixth-ranked Washington (Mo.) University, seventh-ranked Emory University, the ninth-ranked University of Chicago and 14th-ranked New York University. Ranked women's teams scheduled to attend the meet, in addition to the 20th-ranked Spartans, include second-ranked Emory, #7 Chicago, #9 Washington (Mo.), #10 NYU, and #11 Carnegie Mellon.

Last season, the Case Western Reserve men placed sixth at the meet, while the women also finished sixth. The men's squad's best finish came in both 2002 and 2012, when the team placed third each year. The women's best finish at the UAA Championships is also third, which the team accomplished each season from 2000-03.
