CWRU Women’s Swimming & Diving 18th, Men 21st, in Latest CSCAA/TYR Poll

The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team was ranked 18th and the men's squad 21st in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) / TYR NCAA Division III poll, released by the organization last week.

In addition to the national rankings, the Spartans checked in at fifth in the women's Central Region poll and sixth in the men's regional rankings.

The CWRU men and women each claimed first-place finishes at the Wooster Invitational to end the 2019 portion of their seasons. Junior Caitlyn VonFeldt notched a NCAA 'B' cut time of 56.30 in the 10-yard backstroke at the Wooster Invite which currently ranks 11th-best among Division III competitors. In addition, first-year Johanna Pearson recorded a 'B' cut time of 17:22.19 in the 1,650-yard freestyle which ranks 12th best in Division III.

The Spartans will be back in action on Saturday, January 18th as they face SUNY-Geneseo.
