Senior Suhan Mestha of the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming and diving team finished 14th in the 50-yard freestyle to claim an All-America Honorable Mention certificate during the first day of competition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Mestha finished 14th in the event with a time of 23.62. This was her second career individual All-American certificate. Earlier in the day, she finished tied for 15th in the preliminaries of the event with a time of 23.52.
Also in action on Wednesday, the women's 200-yard medley relay team of Mestha, senior Renee Decker, sophomore Caitlyn VonFeldt and freshman Daniella Rupert finished 27th in the preliminaries of the event with a time of 1:48.26.
Action at the meet will resume on Thursday from the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Scheduled to be in action for the Spartans during the second day of competition is the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team (seeded 18th with a time of 1:34.95) and the women's 400-yard medley relay team (seeded 19th with a time of 3:50.41).
