Case Western Reserve University senior Suhan Mestha was named the University Athletic Association Women's Swimmer of the Week, following her performance during a quad meet at the University of Rochester this past weekend.
Mestha led the Spartan women to wins against Gannon University, Grove City College and the University of Rochester this past weekend as she claimed the title in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.09. Mestha was also a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that finished first with a time of 1:48.91 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team that claimed the title with a time of 1:39.01.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Mestha's led off the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.89 which currently ranks first among all University Athletic Association swimmers this season. In addition, her time of 23.89 currently ranks tied for third among all Division III competitors.
The Spartans will now turn their attention towards their final meet of the fall semester, the Wooster Invitational, from Thursday, November 29th through Saturday, December 1st.
