OBERLIN, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team competed for the second day in a row and fell by a score of 145.5 to 94.5 to Oberlin College on Saturday at Carr Pool.
The Spartans drop to 2-2 in dual meets, while the Yeowomen improve to 2-1.
For the second day in a row, freshman Mary Katherine Miller (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Joseph's Academy) was a double-winner, running her win total to seven this season. The rookie posted first-place times of 2:15.29 in the 200-yard individual medley and 1:00.21 in the 100 butterfly.
Freshman diver Brooke Hortness (Chicago, Ill. /Loyola Academy) also posted a pair of wins with point totals of 182.50 on the 3-meter board and 173.75 in the 1-meter event.
The Spartans are idle next week but will return to the pool for a tri-meet against Grove City College (Pa.) and Division II Gannon University (Pa.) on Saturday, November 22. Action at Longnecker Pool in Grove City, Pennsylvania is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
