CLEVELAND – The Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team opened the weekend with a 133-104 victory against The College of Wooster on Friday evening at Veale Natatorium.
The Spartans move to 2-1 in dual meets and will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at Oberlin College at 1:00 p.m. Wooster suffers its first loss in dropping to 2-1.
CWRU won nine of 13 events total with freshman Mary Katherine Miller (Baton Rouge, La./Saint Joseph's Academy) as the lone individual double-winner. With five wins in three meets this season, Miller swam the 200-yard individual medley in 2:13.68 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.37.
Junior Abby Glenn (Novi, Mich./Novi) won her only individual event of the night with a time of 11:06.95 in the 1,000 free.
Freshman Inez Moore (Lakewood, Colo./D'Evelyn) was victorious in the 50 free (25.22) and swam a leg for the first-place 400 free relay team that finished in 3:42.70.
Friday's meet was the last at home for CWRU until mid-January.
