    CHICAGO – For the second year in a row, Maggie Dillione (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and Sara Tillie (Fallston, Md./Fallston) lead the Case Western Reserve University women’s swimming & diving team on the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America list for the championship semester of the 2013-14 season.

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – For the fourth season in a row, the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team has earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team Award for the first semester. The Spartans finished the fall semester with a team grade point average of 3.33.

    CLEVELAND – The Spartan Club, in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University Athletics, has announced its Hall of Fame induction class of 2014. Six former student-athletes will join the 330 members previously enshrined since the club’s inception in 1975. The new members will be enshrined at the annual Spartan Club banquet on Friday, April 25.

    CLEVELAND – Due to inclement weather in Atlanta and continued travel challenges for schools in the University Athletic Association, Case Western Reserve University will now host a satellite UAA Swimming & Diving Championship on Saturday and Sunday, February 15-16, at Veale Natatorium.

    Due to inclement weather in the Atlanta area, the UAA Championships have been changed to a two-day meet on Friday and Saturday. Swimming preliminaries will begin at 9:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, with diving preliminaries following at 11:45 AM. Finals for both swimming and diving will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
  • 86 Spartans Named to 2013-14 UAA Winter All-Academic Team

    PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Eighty-six Case Western Reserve University student-athletes were named to the 2013-14 University Athletic Association Winter All-Academic Team. Within the UAA, All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.

    MEADVILLE, Pa. – Seniors Maggie Dillione (Newtown, Pa / Council Rock North) and Sara Tillie (Fallston, Md./Fallston) each won three events to lead the Case Western Reserve University women’s swimming and diving team to a 153.5-146.5 victory over Allegheny College on Saturday afternoon at Mellon Pool. The win improves Case’s dual meet record to 4-4.

    CLEVELAND – On November 12, the Case Western Reserve University swimming & diving teams joined thousands of athletes across the country in support of the Ted Mullin “Leave it in the Pool” Hour of Power Relay. Over the first seven years of this event, participants raised over $410,000 to support research at the University of Chicago into the causes and treatment of sarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer, in young people.
