CHICAGO – Junior Sara Tillie (Fallston, Md./Fallston) broke a school record in the 200-yard individual medley, and the Case Western Reserve University women's swimming & diving team ranks seventh after day one of three at the 2013 University Athletic Association Championship at the Ratner Center.

Through six scored events, the Spartans have totaled 218.5 points. No. 1 nationally-ranked Emory University (Ga.) is first with 655, while host University of Chicago is second with 462.5.

Tillie placed 11th in a loaded 200 IM field with an NCAA "B" cut time of 2:07.53. Overall, the top 13 finishers posted a "B" cut, and the individual champion hit an "A" cut. Tillie's time broke the previous CWRU standard (2:08.55) set last season by 2012 graduate Stephanie Campbell.

In the final women's event of the night, the Spartans picked up points via a seventh-place finish in the 400 medley relay behind the quartet of freshman Rachael Loek (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove South), Tillie, junior Maggie Dillione (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) and freshman Rebecca Pakradooni (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) in a time of 3:59.57.

Day two of the UAA Championship begins with 10:00 a.m. (CDT) prelims on Friday morning. Finals are slated for 6:00 p.m. (CDT).
