Junior defender Bailey George of the Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team has earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team for her dual accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Earlier this season, George was named All-University Athletic Association Honorable Mention and earned a spot on the NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.
George played a major role on the Spartans' defense this past season, as she has started all 19 games. She helped the team yield opponents to 10.0 shots and 5.0 shots on goal per game, and shutout seven opponents during the season.
A biology and environmental studies double major, George carries a 3.54 cumulative grade point average and has received UAA All-Academic honors two times over her career.
Case Western Reserve received a NCAA Tournament bid for just the second time in the program's history during the 2019 campaign. The Spartans ended the season with a 13-5-1 record under first-year Head Coach Jen Simonetti. The 13 wins tie a CWRU women's soccer record, while the team's 46 goals set a new program record.
