The CWRU women's soccer team huddles before play starts

The 21st-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team will learn its postseason fate this afternoon.  Fans can follow along with the Spartans, as the NCAA will announce the field of 64 teams during a live selection show at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11th.

A link to the selection show will be available at 1:00 p.m. on  and the Division III women's soccer home page at  The show will reveal which teams made the tournament, along with the full 64-team bracket and host sites for the first two rounds of play.

The Spartans will hope to receive one of the 20 at-large bids available to the NCAA Tournament, after finishing 13-5-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the University Athletic Association.  The win total matched a program record for the team, originally set by the 2011 team, while the squad also set a program record for goals in a season with 46.

Case Western Reserve is hoping to make the tournament for just the second time in program history.  The 2011 Spartans are the only group in the program's history to qualify, as CWRU played host to the first two rounds of the tournament.  The Spartans defeated Lebanon Valley 3-0 in the first round, before falling to Cortland State 1-0 in the round of 32.

More information will be made available on following the announcement by the NCAA.
