The 13th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team will look to keep its perfect season alive with a Friday night non-conference match this week. On September 20th, the Spartans will host Ohio Northern University, with kickoff at DiSanto Field scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

#13 CWRU Spartans (6-0-0)
The Spartans kept their perfect season intact with two wins against non-conference foes.
The team first defeated Albion College 4-0 at home last Wednesday night. Sophomore Christina Hickson scored two second half goals, and freshman Maia Sethi scored her first collegiate goal to lead the Spartans past the Britons. Senior Lauren Unterborn kept a clean sheet to pick up her fourth win of the season. Adding another goal for Case Western Reserve was sophomore Lizzie White.
In a thrilling double overtime match, the Spartans defeated Albion College 3-2 on Sunday evening in Albion, Michigan. Senior Kimberly Chen scored two goals, including the game winner in the 101st minute, to lead the Spartans past the Bulldogs. Sophomore Kat Rebele scored the Spartans' other goal, the first of her collegiate career.
Ohio Northern University Polar Bears (4-1-2)
The Polar Bears earned a 2-0-1 record over the past week, tying Denison University 2-2 in two overtimes on Wednesday, September 11 on the road, defeating Calvin College last Saturday 3-1 at home, and defeating Oberlin College 5-0 on Tuesday at home.
Junior Jenna Fuller is the focal point of the Polar Bear attack, leading ONU with six goals, 14 points, and 28 shots on the season. Senior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson has started all seven of the Polar Bears' matches, posting three shutouts and 20 saves in 670 minutes.
The Spartans fell to the Polar Bears last season 1-0 in Ada, Ohio. ONU received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll and was ranked as high as eighth last season.

The Spartans are ranked 13th in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, rising nine spots in the past week. This marks a tie for the highest the team has ever landed in the poll with its previous 13th-place ranking coming in 2012.
The Spartans played 504 minutes without allowing a goal to start the season…The team's six consecutive wins are the most to start a season since 2002…Senior Kimberly Chen's 15 career assists tie her for sixth most in CWRU history…Sophomore Christina Hickson and Chen are tied for the UAA lead with four assists… With 26 goals on the season, the Spartans already have their most goals in a season since 2011.
