Led by a second team nod from both sophomore defender Bailey George and freshman forward Christina Hickson, three from Case Western Reserve University have earned a spot on the 2018 All-University Athletic Association Women's Soccer Team.
George earns second team All-UAA honors for the first time in her career, while Hickson's second team selection is also the first of her career. In addition, CWRU had an honorable mention pick in junior forward Kimberly Chen.
George played a major role on the Spartans' defense this season, as she started all 17 games. The team yielded just 23 goals in 17 games and shutout seven opponents during the season.
In her first year as a Spartan, Hickson scored a team-high eight goals and tallied one assist for a team-best 17 points. Her eight goals this season are tied for the 10th-most by a CWRU player in a single season. Hickson scored game-winning goals against Hiram College and Chatham University.
Chen, an All-UAA Second Team selection in 2017, started all 17 games and finished as the team leader in assists (4) and shots (30), while also ranking second on the team in goals (6). The forward also contributed a game-winning goal against Oberlin College on October 29th.
Case Western Reserve finished the 2018 season with a 7-10-0 overall record.
